* ZZ Top's album Eliminator is certified Diamond for sales of 10 million copies in America.
* 1979  Led Zeppelin make their last live performance in the UK.

1996 - Tupac Shakur died six days after being shot four times in a drive-by shooting.
2019 - Eddie Money  died from complications associated with his heart valve procedure from a few months ago.

1973 - The body of The Byrds guitarist Gram Parsons is stolen and taken to Joshua Tree National Park, where it is set on fire.
1973 - Jim Croce is killed in a plane crash in Natchitoches, Louisiana, at age 30.
1979 - The Clash bass player Paul Simonon, frustrated because the crowd at The Palladium in New York City isn't standing, smashes his instrument on stage.
           The photo is later used as the cover of their London Calling album.
1983 - The ARMS Benefit concert was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The concert was to raise money for research of Multiple Sclerosis.
1995 - Natalie Merchant started her first solo tour after leaving the 10,000 Maniacs. She was supporting her first solo album "Tigerlily."
